Over the years I’ve worked with lots of comedians from seasoned acts to beginners. I’m always thrilled to be able to help acts find their comedic voice, refine their material or even learn the basics of taking their first steps in comedy.

Build confidence, have fun and make new friends

In our 6 week comedy course you’ll learn:

  • Basic joke types and structure
  • How to generate material
  • How to manage your nerves
  • Stage Presence, microphone technique and performance tips
  • How to develop longer sets

All leading up to your graduation performance where your family and friends can all come along and watch you unleash your twisted brilliance onto an unsuspecting public. You’ll also get a copy of your performance to remember your debut by – and maybe even send off to book your next slot with one of the other comedy bookers we’ll link you up with.

It’s not just a bit of fun though, with over 75% of people being deathly afraid of public speaking, it’s a great skill to be able to get up and present something to a room. Who knows – it could lead to more opportunities for you at work once you’re ready to shine. (Maybe save the dick jokes for the comedy world though? Thanks.)

From an employment perspective, a comedy course develops highly transferable skills valued across many industries. The ability to communicate clearly, think quickly, tell engaging stories, and adapt to feedback is useful in roles ranging from marketing and education to leadership and client-facing work.

Upgrade your comedic potential

For acts with more experience and direction, I offer bespoke one to one sessions which are tailored to your individual needs. Whether it’s help with finding the bridge between two ideas in your set, or working on your stage persona and delivery, you’ll be sure to come away with some concrete next steps to help you develop further.
